no sleep and purple streaks.

this is slightly embarrassing but i'm getting over it. this is my eye without any make up. get me to a hospital. i look sick from all the purple streaks around my eye. if you were to ask what is causing this discoloration i would answer without hesitation-tv. i feel like most days i can be fairly productive during the day and get (most) of my homework done, but nighttime-nighttime is my time and instead of doing what i should be doing (sleeping), i catch up on my tv shows for the week. this is not a healthy habit and that became especially apparent when i woke up the other night (morning?) at 6:32 am and my laptop was still open near my bed, playing episodes that i had fallen asleep to. this is a problem. i need to do something about it.

  1. I definitely do this too! Just last night my husband and I went to bed around 11. But then I couldn't fall asleep so I went downstairs to watch Netflix on my laptop until like 12:30. I was certainly feeling the consequences when my alarm clock went off this morning!

  3. I did this yesterday...but not with TV shows! Just web surfing till 1 am!! I wasn't feeling very rested this morning!

  4. I wish there were more hours in the day so that we could have time to watch our favorite TV shows AND sleep. Sometimes it just feels good to have some chill time after a long day, and TV just feels nice. Especially those shows that we can't wait to see the next episode of :) Good luck managing that! I don't think you will ever regret sleeping instead of watching a show, though. Sleep does the body good.
